The countdown begins...

With our two previous Kickstarters now officially shipped it is time to look at #3! The current plan is to go live with the Kickstarter on April 20 around noon eastern time in the US. That’s just 5 days from the time of this writing!

So far in our Kickstarters it has been all about Cthulhu and his hordes, but now it is time to take a look at the human defenders. Over the course of the next few days we’ll be giving some additional information and background on the human forces as well as some new images of the models being funded in the Kickstarter, from concept to completion.

This time around, we will be focusing on the elite of the human forces. They are Genetically Engineered Cybernetic Soldiers, aka GECS. These are vat grown humans that are genetically engineered to be the apex of human evolution. They are physically superior humans that are created to be the ultimate war fighter. They average 7.5 feet/2.28 m tall and are outfitted with cutting edge powered battle suits.

GECS are divided into three primary armor groups. The first of these are the Interdiction and Rapid Engagement, or IRE troops. These GECS wear a light battle suit that allow them to move fast and silent which makes them ideal for recon missions or lightning strikes against enemy units.

Above is some of the artwork for one of the IRE troops. The models pose is one of those that will be available in the Kickstarter. The models come unpainted and will require assembly. The textured version is simply included to give an example of what a paint scheme might look like on a finished model.
