It’s been a while since I’ve updated the news section on my site so it is long past due. So what’s been happening?

Kickstarter Updates

Our first Kickstarter was completed late last year and everything has gone out to backers who responded. I say “who responded” because oddly enough there are backers that pledged, had the money collected and yet never responded to any attempts to contact them. So if you are one of those backers please check the KS and get back to me. Other than those couple of backers, everything else has shipped.

The second Kickstarter is still in the production process as I write this. The busts that were part of that KS have all been shipped to the backers that pledged for them. All that remains now is the big himself, the Avatar of Cthulhu. His production should be completed in the next couple of weeks and it appears we will be shipping ahead of schedule if all continues to go as it has been.

What’s next?

As you are likely aware, the end goal is to create a fully fledged tabletop war game. Right now we have a good number of the Cthulhian miniatures created but we need their human adversaries if we are going to have a game. So the next Kickstarter will be to fund the human models and units for the game and maybe a few other surprises along the way. The planning is underway for that now and I am hopeful we will have news on a set time and date for the launch in the next month. In the meantime, here is an image of something that will be part of the human army KS.

These are two of the GECS I.R.E. models and there will be several others such as regular human infantry, H.A.T.E. troopers, robots, etc with multiple poses and weapons for each. So the plan with the next KS is to fund a full human army to face off against the Cthulhian host from the first KS.

Beyond that…

The current plan is to then get the rules squared away and likely have another KS in the late summer to get them finalized. Right now the rules are in development and should be completed around July sometime. I was originally working on my own rule set but came to the realization that due to time and lack of true rule design experience it would be better handled by the experts. So I am working with some very experienced and well known war games designers to get them completed. That’s all I’ll say for now but more news will be forthcoming as the rules get closer to fruition. If all goes as planned we should have the full game rules and both armies completed before year end, hopefully much sooner but we’ll see how it goes.
